Chapter 1

"OU is about Petroleum Engineering. The other departments are just to support this school."-Dr S.

He realized that he made no mistake in making one of the most important decisions in his life. When everyone heard about his major, all of them will say that OU is a good school for PE. 60% of the buildings in OU are sponsored by oil and gas company. And many international students are majoring in PE as well.

After a stressful week, it ended in Valentine's Day. Practically spent most of his weekend working on his essay. Unexpectedly scored 9.4/10 in his first essay.

"You are better than what I expect,"- Dr H.

Walked for 20 minutes just to get to the writing center. Wanted to make his second essay close to perfection like what he did last time. And thank God that somebody sent him home after that. It was so sudden and random that he is surprised. Speechless.

Zizi always walked to school. And then he was offered a ride by Zizi, in a new Chevrolet.

I answered, "Love is sacrifice."

Love: Eros, Philia, Stroge, and Agape.

Eros love: Girlfriend
Philia love: Friends
Stroge love: Parents
Agape love: God

Prologue

Diarrhea, delayed luggage, and homeless for the first night in that foreign land.

Also, that 24 hours of awful flight.

Curious and asked about God's plan, "Why can't you let me go to OU alone?"

Why, oh why.

Together with KV, they got their enrollment done in 1 week without any help from anyone. Campus was quiet, and it seemed like there was not a single Malaysian around.

Met with housemates and found out that they clicked along. At least he got what he wanted- 3 Americans. Prayed for it and grateful that he got it.

And, he remembered what his mother said to him about cooking, "Don't worry, you will know how to cook when you are there."

It has been a month since the arrival. He has learned so much about life. Affi once told him that "going to the university and live without any dependents, that is what you called a real life".

From a man who doesn't know how to handle an egg, he could make you all sorts of eggs now- scrambled, fried, omelette. He learns that he likes to cook. Not just cooking eggs, his cooking skill is getting better day by day. Getting a meal done all by himself makes him feels satisfactory.

From a man who doesn't wash/clean stuff, he has to do laundry, dishes, and even cleaning the toilet bowl. He makes his mama proud.

And looking back at one month ago, asking God why he couldn't just come to Norman alone, he found an answer. God placed KV with him because:

-KV is not as blind as him in directions. KV been to campus just once and he remembers ALL the places. Without KV, he will be lost in that OU campus of Norman.

-KV is like a right hand for him because God knows that he couldn't handle all things alone. If he were here alone, he couldn't have somebody to help carrying stuffs from Walmart, cooking, and playing fifa.
